About a year ago, I set out with friends to find the perfect first marathon. We had a lot of requirements. The race had to be relatively flat, fun, in November or December and a race that no one in our group had run before. The race also had to have a half-marathon option. After scouring the web for months, we settled on the St. Jude's Memphis Marathon.

Throughout the race-picking process, we realized a few things. First, we are a very picky group. Second, there's no one perfect site for finding the right race. Running is hard, finding the right race should be easy. PickyRacer is our attempt to make finding the right race a little easier.
